Roberti. Rope, Steel and Aluminium, Made in Italy
Roberti began in 1959 as a family business making rattan furniture, and many people still know it as Roberti Rattan. Today it makes outdoor furniture in north-east Italy, between the Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, with its factory at Corbanese in the province of Treviso, and sells in more than fifty countries.
Frames are powder-coated aluminium or stainless steel, and much of the range is woven in rope made in Italy: nautical rope in high-tenacity polyester, the kind used on sailing boats, and the Trendyrope and Searope weaves. Many of the tables have HPL tops in marble, stone or Corten effects.

The designs come from Roberti’s in-house lab and a small group of European designers, two of them from Valencia: Santiago Sevillano, who designed Capri and worked on Armàn, and the studio Technical Emotions, behind the Gravity hanging sofa and the Oasi daybed.
