Dedon Mu
Mu is a modular outdoor lounge system designed by Toan Nguyen for Dedon. His starting point was to bring the comfort of an indoor sofa outside: the cushions, the proportions and the detailing.
The name comes from a Zen term that translates roughly as reduced to pure essence. The modules are pared back to what matters, extra-thick cushions on an ultra-light interior support system, so the comfort matches a good indoor sofa while the structure stands up to year-round outdoor use.
Materials
Dedon Fiber hand-woven over a powder-coated aluminium frame, finished in a colour that matches the fibre. The weave combines different widths and colour gradations for depth up close. Mu is available in the classic Vulcano and in the light grey of Accona.
Configurations
Centre modules, corner modules and end units combine into sofas, corner groups and large lounge layouts, so the same collection works for an intimate terrace or a large pool area. Cushion covers are removable and washable.
