Gloster Kay
Kay is Gloster’s collection built around one idea: a deliberately oversized, beautifully curved back. Designed by Henrik Pedersen of the Danish studio 365°, it wraps an outdoor French cane weave over a frame of plantation teak, so the pieces look light and handmade but are made to live outside all year.
The Kay dining chair with arms is one of our best-selling outdoor chairs: generous, deep and genuinely comfortable through a long lunch. It is wider than most dining chairs, so allow about 80 cm per chair along the table. The collection also includes low and high back lounge chairs, rocking chairs, a sofa, a lounger and an ottoman. The weave comes in Brindle, Harvest or Copper, and the teak is left natural to weather to silver grey.
